Golf lessons vary widely. At some places, a "lesson" is a pro watching you hit a bucket and offering a few tips. At others, it's a full coaching experience with data, video, and a plan. Here's what you should expect, and what's included when you train with Beyond Golf Performance.
The basics every lesson should include
At a minimum, a good golf lesson includes:
- A clear goal for the session. What are we working on today, and why?
- Diagnosis. An explanation of what's happening in your swing.
- Instruction and drills. Specific ways to make the change.
- Feedback. Real-time adjustments as you practice.
- Next steps. What to work on before your next lesson.
If your lesson is missing any of these, you're not getting full value.
What's included at Beyond Golf Performance
We build coaching around programs, not single lessons. Each phase is five sessions, and every phase includes:
TPI body screening. Your first phase starts with a Titleist Performance Institute screen covering mobility, stability, strength, and speed. We explain what your results mean for your swing.
Launch monitor data. We use TrackMan to measure club path, face angle, attack angle, ball speed, carry distance, and spin.
Video analysis. We film your swing so you can see what we see.
Wrist sensor data. HackMotion shows exactly what your lead wrist is doing, a key factor in clubface control.
Full-game coverage. Phase One includes putting and chipping, wedges and short irons, and driver. Not just full swing.
On-course coaching. One session in every Phase One is played on the course, where we rate your pre-shot routine, confidence, ball striking, short game, and putting.
A custom practice plan. You get a weekly plan for your first month so practice time counts.
The Beyond Reps app. Drills and practice tracking between sessions.
A coordinated team. Our coaches log every session, so anyone on the team knows your history.
What's not included
To set expectations, lessons don't include range balls at every location, green fees for on-course sessions at some courses, or club fitting. Ask us when you book and we'll walk you through it.
[Confirm range ball and green fee details by location before publishing.]
The real value: a plan
The most important thing included in any lesson isn't a gadget. It's a clear plan. You should always leave knowing what you're working on, why, and how to practice it.
