The Readiness Checklist
Scoring Consistently in the Mid-70s
AJGA fields are deep. If your junior isn't consistently shooting 72-78 on regulation courses, they'll struggle to make cuts.
Comfortable with 36-54 Hole Events
Can your junior maintain energy and focus through multiple rounds? Start with two-day local events before AJGA.
Rules Knowledge Is Automatic
AJGA events are officiated strictly. Your junior needs to know the Rules of Golf cold.
Independent Course Management
No coach walks with the player. No parent advice between holes. Your junior must manage their own game.
Emotional Resilience Under Pressure
Can they recover from a bad start in front of spectators? Can they grind near the cut line?
